It was originally released on June 8, 2004, via Volcano Entertainment. The album contains songs from each of 311's major label albums from Music through Evolver, as well as two new tracks "First Straw" and "How Do You Feel?". "First Straw" was released as a radio single and enjoyed modest success, peaking at #14 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart. 311 was formed in Omaha, Nebraska in 1988. To date, 311 has released twelve studio albums, two live albums, four compilation albums, four EPs and four DVDs.

Limited vinyl LP pressing. From Chaos is the sixth studio album by the alternative rockers, originally released in 2001. In 2000, before this album was recorded and released they left Capricorn Records and switched to Volcano Entertainment as their permanent label. Singles from this album include "You Wouldn't Believe", "I'll Be Here Awhile", and "Amber". The latter was the most popular single from the album, and it still remains 311's most popular single to date. From Chaos is the first album to ever be recorded in 311's current recording studio The Hive in North Hollywood, California. 311 was formed in 1988. The band's name originates from the police code for indecent exposure in Omaha, Nebraska, after the original guitarist for the band was arrested for streaking.

311 was formed in 1990 in the city of Omaha, Nebraska. The group still features it's original lineup 30 years later including drummer Chad Sexton, singer / guitarist Nick Hexum, singer SA Martinez, guitarist Tim Mahoney, and bassist P-Nut.

At 30 years old, 311 has become one of the longest running original lineups in rock music, joining an elite list of other original lineup units like U2 and Radiohead. 311 mix rock, rap, reggae and funk into their own unique hybrid sound - and have developed a reputation as one of the most entertaining & dynamic live bands in the U.S. and has sold over 9 million copies in the U.S. and nine of their singles have reached the Top 10 on Billboard's Alternative Radio Charts.
